Dr. Sliwkowski is uniquely qualified to provide innovative health care solutions. He has experience in many sectors of the U.S. health care system. He is board-certified in family and sports medicine. The 20,000+ patients he has treated for musculoskeletal conditions has been through a medical home model coordinating care from leading surgical subspecialists, physical therapists and integrative medical providers. His clinical practices have been successful through a simple motto: “Physicians should be in the business of trying to put ourselves out of business.” In other words, he has been focused on clinical outcomes and prevention.

As corporate medical director of Subaru, he was part of team that created one of the safest auto manufacturer in the U.S.. As corporate medical director of Wabash National, he worked with CEO to reduce injuries from an injury every 4 hours to 2 per month. As medical director of 80 physician multi-specialty group in Lafayette,IN, he spear-headed a transformative collaboration between providers, employers, researchers and health plans to reduce health care costs. He continued this leadership role at Indiana University Health system. In conjunction with Purdue Research Park, he was a key part of a translational effort to apply agent-based software to optimizing health and wellbeing.

Dr. Sliwkowski has strategically immersed himself into the Massachusetts health care system. He has worked as an occupational health and wellness consultant for Berkshire Hospital, Beth Israel-Deaconess Hospital, Boston Children’s Hospital, Newell Rubbermaid, Solutia and Boston Fire Department. He has been a clinical preceptor for occupational medicine residents at the Harvard School of Public Health. He is one of the physicians leading the growth of urgent care in Massachusetts, having helped start a Doctors Express urgent care center in North Andover, as well as CareWell urgent care centers in Peabody, Framingham and Marlborough. He currently serves as Director of Occupational Health Services for CareWell. His passion now is helping bring to fruition a game changing health care solution, Somatic Functional Therapy.
