Retraining the Brain to Heal The Body

Improved Well-being, Decreased Pain, Decreased Stress & Anxiety, Increased Energy
 Tuesday, January 03, 2012 10:35 AM

I would like to thank everyone involved with the program.  The impact on my overall well being has been life changing.  At the beginning of the session I had severe anxiety related to a violent event that I could not seem to get past.  I tried to mask the effect it had on me and rarely admitted to a horrible event occurring at all.  I now have complete freedom from the anxiety and no longer have any nightmares or repetitive fearful thoughts.  I also suffered from arm, shoulder and neck pain to the extent that, at times, I could not use my right arm.  I no longer have pain since I use the somatic routines daily.  If I feel any pain in my body I immediately use the somatic routines.

My energy levels are higher than they have been in years.  I keep a very active schedule, I have 3 sons involved in athletics with crazy practice schedules, I am a runner, I weight train while maintaining a 40-60 hour work week.  Before the class I thought I was doing fine, other than the pain, headaches, fatigue, anxiety!!  Now I do all I did and more, with better efficiency. The difference is now I am not tired and I don’t hurt so I am free to enjoy things that I do everyday.

My family has also has noticed the benefits as they see I have almost zero stress.  My family also has seen that if stressful event occurs I use the learned methods to alleviate the stress and better address the situation.  The methods are so simple yet highly effective.  They are very happy that I am not stressed anymore.

My sons have each benefited by using the techniques I have shared with them in areas such as test taking, competing in events and speaking.  They also have felt the positive impact in their academics and personal relationships.

I am sincerely grateful.  The quality of my life has profoundly improved and continues to improve.  I could never go back to the way I was surviving before this class.

Highest regards,

Improvement in Parkinson’s Disease from 7 weeks of participation in group program
 Thursday, August 04, 2011 2:57 PM

A huge Thank You to each of you for your part in setting me firmly on the path of a new journey.   I am heading in a direction that I never dreamed was possible.
I have been able to put all of your teachings into practice with top priority, as I am home on summer break from school.  This has been such a positive experience; producing amazing results!!…
I look forward to our last three sessions and the development of the “new Me.”

I think it will be helpful to list for you all the positive changes I am experiencing.

  1. Stiffness:  gone – (My Parkinson’s Disease had most all my muscle groups bound up. Movement was difficult.  I had to use a wheelchair at times when my IT bands were so tight they pulled on my knee caps and I could not walk) (I am now able to use my arms.  Shoulders are no longer bound up)
  2. Balance:  restored –  I used a service dog 100% of the time to insure balance and normalized gait.
  3. Gait:  normal – Service Dog not needed for balance and gait
  4. Blood Pressure:  Dropped – Physician changing medication doses
  5. Speech:  less hesitation, less searching for words
  6. Pain:  nearly gone – Pain levels were to the point that family physician, neurologist and Physical Therapist all were requesting that I go to a pain clinic for epidurals.  I had yet to go as I wanted to avoid this. I am not needing pain medication.
  7. Sleep is normalizing. I can now sleep 5 hours without use of sleep medication

Improvements in Diabetes, Blood Pressure, Pain and Weight Loss

Sent: Tuesday, November 29, 2011 1:28 PM

I just wanted to report some good news.  I have been taken off one of my diabetes medicines as my A1c went down from 7.6 to 7.1. My blood pressure was normal.  I have lost 9 pounds and have a new appointment in four months.  If I am still improving my doctor will take me off of the last diabetes medicine and blood pressure medication too.

My right sided pain in all areas has improved…My attitude and how I handle stress is also much improved.  Thank you.

Please thank you and your team for the new way of being and thinking.  I know it has changed my outlook on life and such simple activities are easy to do.

Resolution of Frozen Shoulder, Chronic Pain, Sleep Problems
 Wednesday, June 16, 2010 11:59 AM

Before your program I was in constant pain even after ‘manipulation under anesthesia’ for a frozen shoulder.  I was exhausted every day and afraid that I would never ride my bike again, which I love doing both for exercise and for relaxation.  Only two weeks after the program started I felt so much better that I rode my bike for 20 miles two days in a row.  I had so much more energy because I was sleeping better!

There is one somatic routine later in the program which completely restored my range of motion. I did it ONCE then had complete range of motion.  I went to work and showed my co-workers how I could move my arm and they were both surprised and impressed!  As soon as I start to feel any restriction in motion I do this routine first.  I’m very happy that I attended your program for the benefits that I received.  I expect to be fully capable of riding my bike and doing all my other daily activities without pain.  I very much hope that the data you collect helps convince other companies to offer the program so you can help even more people.

Thank you very much,

My Story…
 Wednesday, January 21, 2009 11:57 AM

On November 18, 2004 I had the first colonoscopy of my life due to complications with my intestine/bowel function. From that colonoscopy I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis.  The specialist told me that I would be on medication for the remainder of my life to try and control the intensity of my symptoms…

I had been taking Asacol ever since, varying amounts from one pill to three, daily.  Despite being on the medication, I still had setbacks approximately twice a year, two of those resulting in hospital stays.

Then this program came into my life! …

So, as of today, I have not taken an Asacol for over 4 months.  Through your program of guided relaxation and somatic movement, I have done very well managing stress and situations that would typically trigger a lengthy episode.  I have not relied on medication and have not had a visit to my specialist since!

This has not been my only benefit.  When I signed up for the program I was recovering from a separated shoulder, a shoulder I have had two surgeries on in the past.  I have also been diagnosed with degenerative disc disease, coupled with no fluid in my L4 – L5 vertebrae.  I quite often would have shoulder and lower back pain.  The somatic movement routines keep me moving.  When I feel pain, I hit the floor and do my favorite routines and can make it through the day with leaps and bounds.  It is truly amazing.  I have not missed a day of work due to back pain since beginning the somatic movement routines.

I sincerely thank you and your team for taking the time and effort to bring your program into my life.  Not only has it helped me, but my sister, who lost her 16 year old son, has been listening to the CD’s and participating in somatic movement (I share my materials with her).  This has brought significant benefit to her life.  I have told so many people about this program, some are skeptical, but most want to know how they can take the class.

If you ever offer this class to the public, please keep me on the mailing list.  I could probably fill the entire classroom for you!

Thank you again,
Marti S. | Chrysler
